Beauty Point is a town by the Tamar River north-east
of Tasmania, Australia located close to Greens
Beach. It is 45 kilometres north of Launceston, on the West Tamar Highway
and has a population of just over 1000 people. Beauty Point is
a tiny township originally established as the first deep water
port on the Tamar River, established as a
port to service the nearby gold mine town of Beaconsfield. Beauty Point is also an important fishing port in Northern Tasmania.
